Name and surname: Francisco Javier Molina
City: Málaga
Prior education: Bachelor’s degree in Law by the Universidad de Málaga.
Training program carried out in ENEB: Postgraduate Program in Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP).
Job Position: Lawyer.
What motivated you to participate in that training program? Why ENEB?
A couple of years ago I had to handle a difficult situation due to my profession, which made me realise that I needed tools to improve other skills. I was doing some courses offered by the bar association, but most of them were related to law and economic law, which is my area of expertise. One of my colleagues told me that she had enrolled in ENEB to do the Postgraduate Program in NLP, so I searched it and registered myself in it.
Professionally speaking, what are your short and long- term objectives? Do you have any new project in mind?
In short/medium term, I would like to create an Executive Coaching Program. That is my project, fostered by everything I have learnt during the program and what I have researched by myself. I have the idea; now I need time to carry out the project. The first step is to promote Coaching, to make people know what it is, as it is unknown in Spain and it has a bad reputation.
Which are your daily task in your job?
As a criminal lawyer specialised in economy and corporations, I mainly analyse testaments, inheritances…etc.
Did you always get help from your tutors?
I did not have to ask them questions frequently, but I have always asked them how to improve after I received my evaluations.
Which subject did you find most useful?
Negotiation Techniques, Coaching and NLP; with them, you learn to deal with people and carry out relationships. NLP helps you learn or adapt some guidelines to be able to interact and have relationships with a person who thinks different from you and adjust to them. Since I finished NLP I have continued to investigate on my own because I think it is fascinating.
Was it difficult for you to reconcile work and study?
It has been complicated, some days you have a busier schedule, and it is challenging to accommodate time to study, and I also had to reconcile family time. There were some days that I thought I wasn’t going to be able, but I made it.
Why would you recommend the program?
Because I think it provides the ability to understand people and their points of view. Usually, negotiations in Spain are difficult and inflexible, and NLP helps us to deal with personnel or to create a better improvement strategy.
Which two words would you choose to describe your experience with ENEB?
I only need one: Fantastic. It has been hard, but I have discovered and learn many things, which made the studying process enjoyable.
